Not translating meows — reading the whole day

Petaira combines what your cat does, what she says, and what's normal for her, then writes it back to you in plain language: not “meow = hungry”, but “restless since 2pm, food untouched.”

And when you're in the same room, switch on near-field mode. She meows, Petaira reads what's behind it, and the collar says it out loud in her own words — “I'm hungry” — in a voice you picked for her. For a moment it's as if she simply told you herself.

Behind each status line sit two or three plain pieces of evidence — “activity above usual”, “sounds clustered in the evening”, “longer alone time”. You can always see where a read came from, and decide for yourself.

Observation, not diagnosis

We flag changes. Your vet makes the call.

Petaira's health language stays deliberately careful — “worth a closer look”, “keep observing”. It never names a condition. What it does well is notice a change early enough that the conversation with your vet starts sooner.

Is there a monthly fee for the app?

Backer pricing includes the app and its AI features at launch, with nothing extra to pay to use Petaira as described on this page. Some of the heavier AI extras — longer videos, premium visual packs — will sit behind an optional paid tier later on. We're still finalising exactly where that line falls, and we'll publish the complete breakdown on our Kickstarter page before the campaign opens, so you can decide with the full picture in front of you.
